Ibibio Sound Machine
Ibibio Sound Machine, fronted by London-born Nigerian vocalist Eno Williams, is a singular presence in the British music landscape, masterfully fusing African rhythms with the vibrant energy of disco and electro. Drawing inspiration from both the golden era of West African funk and the pulse of modern post-punk, this group has cultivated a genre-blending sound that sits confidently at the intersection of electronic Afro-funk and avant-garde pop. Their 2024 album "Pull the Rope" and the much-anticipated "Chopping Mountain" set for release in September 2026, reaffirm the band’s reputation for innovation and infectious musicality.
Renowned for their exhilarating live shows, Ibibio Sound Machine has consistently headlined iconic venues across the UK. Recent performances at Leeds' Brudenell Social Club and London’s legendary 100 Club have showcased their irresistible groove and dynamic stage presence, drawing crowds eager to experience their pioneering blend of styles. Their live music offering is nothing short of a celebration—inviting audiences to move, connect, and revel in the band's distinctive sound.
With a run of concerts at renowned venues set for late 2026—including multiple headline dates at Brudenell Social Club and shows in Nottingham and Edinburgh—Ibibio Sound Machine continue to shape the sound of contemporary electro and disco.
