Gig Totem Monthly Upload Competition — Terms & Conditions

Promoter: Most Rated Ltd (“Gig Totem”, “we”, “us”). No purchase necessary. Any prize partners are not sponsors of, nor affiliated with, this promotion.

1. Overview & How the Monthly Rounds Work

This is a recurring promotion that runs in discrete monthly rounds. Each “Competition Period” is a calendar month (00:00 on the 1st to 23:59 on the last day, UK time). Counts reset at the start of each month. A winner and any runners-up are determined for each round.

2. Eligibility

• Open to UK residents aged 18+ with a valid Gig Totem user account.

• Not open to employees, contractors, or anyone directly involved in administering the competition, nor their immediate family or household members.

• We may conduct verification checks and request reasonable proof of age, identity and address.

3. How to Enter

• Log in to your Gig Totem account during the Competition Period and upload qualifying gig posters via the platform.

• You must accept these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Notice. Participation can be toggled in your account settings at any time.

• Entry is free. Internet access is required. Automated or bulk submissions (bots, scripts or similar) are prohibited.

4. What Counts as a Valid Upload

• A “valid upload” is a unique gig poster that complies with our site rules and contains materially different event information (artist/venue/date) from prior uploads.

• Duplicates will not be counted. We treat as duplicates any images that are substantively the same as an earlier upload, including those altered only by minor pixel/colour/metadata changes, or are cropped differently.

• We use perceptual hashing (e.g., pHash) and additional detection methods (including EXIF checks, dimensional and histogram analysis). We may apply manual review. Our decision on duplicates and validity is final.

• We may apply rate limits and daily caps to preserve fair play. Suspicious upload patterns may be flagged “under review” pending checks.

• Only posters advertising events that are scheduled to take place after the start of the current Compettion Period will be counted. Posters advertising historical events from before the start period will not count towards the overall total.

5. Determining Winners

• For each month, the winner is the account with the highest number of valid uploads recorded during that Competition Period.

• Tie-break: if two or more accounts have the same total, the winner is the account whose most recent counted upload (in that month) occurred earliest in time.

• Where fraud, manipulation, multiple-account use or other improper behaviour is suspected, we may disqualify entries or accounts.

6. Prizes

• Illustrative prize each month: £100 voucher for the winner and four (4) x £25 vouchers for runners-up (if specified on the competition page). Exact prize details for the current month will be stated prominently on the competition page.

• Vouchers are subject to the issuer’s terms. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.

• We aim to deliver digital vouchers within 14 days of winner verification.

7. Winner Notification & Verification

• We will contact provisional winners via the email associated with their Gig Totem account within 7 days of month end. Winners must respond within 14 days.

• Failure to respond, provide required verification, or comply with these terms may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternative winner.

• We may publish a list of first name / username and town of winners. You may request reasonable anonymity.

8. Fair Play & Disqualification

• Prohibited behaviours include (without limitation): creating or using multiple accounts; automated/bulk submissions; manipulating or attempting to circumvent duplicate detection; submitting infringing or prohibited content; or any action that unfairly advantages an entrant.

• We may suspend counting for any account flagged for review and may disqualify entries or accounts. Our decisions are final.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal data to administer the competition (e.g., to validate uploads, operate anti-fraud checks, contact winners, and deliver prizes). Our lawful basis is legitimate interests and/or performance of a contract. Full details appear in our Privacy Notice.

• We retain competition data (counts, flags, audit logs, winner records) for up to 12 months after each Competition Period for audit and complaints handling, unless a longer period is required by law.

• Marketing is optional: we will only send marketing communications with your separate consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

• You may opt out of participation in future monthly rounds in your account settings; opting out stops future counting but does not delete historic records required for audit.

10. Publicity

By entering, winners agree that we may reference their first name/username and general location in reasonable promotional announcements about the competition. We will seek consent for any additional publicity.

11. Changes & Cancellation

• Material conditions for each monthly round (e.g., dates, prize details, significant restrictions) will be displayed clearly on the competition page.

• We will not change key terms mid-round unless unavoidable for reasons beyond our control; any change will be communicated promptly and fairly. We may cancel a round where necessary (e.g., technical failure or insufficient participation).

12. Liability

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not responsible for: (i) entries lost, delayed, corrupted or miscounted due to network, platform or system issues; (ii) third-party voucher terms; or (iii) indirect or consequential losses.

13. Intellectual Property & Content Standards

Uploads must comply with our content rules and not infringe third-party rights. By uploading, you grant us the rights necessary to display and process the poster for listing and moderation. Unlawful or inappropriate content may be removed and disqualified.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
