Ibibio Sound Machine

Thursday, May 20, 2027 - The Crescent, York

Ibibio Sound Machine bring their fusion of disco, electro-funk and highlife to The Crescent on 20 May 2027, in a show presented by Brudenell Presents. Led by London-born Nigerian vocalist Eno Williams, the group channel West African funk grooves through vivid synth lines and tight electronic rhythms. Drawing on material from albums such as "Pull the Rope", they thread soulful hooks through pulsing beats and horn-led melodies. Expect sleek electro textures sitting alongside highlife guitar lines and call-and-response vocals, turning The Crescent into a dense, dancefloor-focused space for their genre-blending sound.
