The Selecter

The Selecter have long stood as pioneers in the UK's vibrant 2 tone scene, blending elements of ska, punk, and alternative rock since their formation in 1979. Hailing from the United Kingdom, the group’s dynamic sound and socially conscious lyrics have made them a cornerstone of British new wave, acclaimed for their energetic live shows and genre-defining records. Their extensive discography includes the 2023 album "Human Algebra," a testament to the band’s enduring creativity and relevance in contemporary music.

Recent years have seen The Selecter headline venues such as Exeter Phoenix, O2 Academy Oxford, Stourbridge Town Hall, and Roadmender Northampton, drawing audiences with their electrifying onstage presence. In addition to their headline dates, they have brought their signature 2 tone energy to landmark concerts supporting renowned acts like Madness at Brighton’s MADROPHENIA ON THE BEACH, UB40 at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, and The Specials at events like SKAFULL and Rude Boy Rude Girl at Social Hull—sharing the billing with legends of the genre and highlighting their integral role in the British ska and alternative circuit.

Fans of live music and 2 tone ska should keep an eye on The Selecter’s tour dates, with appearances scheduled at venues including The Drill Shed in Margate and The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth throughout late 2026.
