Ugly Ozo

Ugly Ozo is the evocative musical project helmed by Jess Baker, emerging in 2021 and quickly capturing attention in the UK’s vibrant live music landscape. Though genre-defying, Baker’s songwriting and vocal style distinguish Ugly Ozo as a standout presence in the contemporary scene, with recent singles such as "remains" and the anticipated "hi, how are you?" showcasing the project's sonic signature and lyrical depth.

Ugly Ozo has made a notable impression with headline performances, including at The Castle in Luton for Independent Venue Week 2026. As a sought-after support act, Ugly Ozo has shared the stage with rising headliners such as Eaves Wilder at Sebright Arms and Alien Chicks at London’s iconic 100 Club, cementing Baker’s reputation for delivering compelling and memorable live sets. Each performance is an opportunity to experience an artist who brings profound emotion and unmistakable authenticity to every song, with a setlist featuring tracks like "cherry," "madonna," "ooh la la," and "sink or swim."

The road ahead is equally vibrant, with Ugly Ozo supporting Wilt across a series of dates at distinguished venues including Oporto in Leeds, YES in Manchester, The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham, and Rough Trade in Bristol. Festival appearances, such as at Heartbroken Festival and The Joiners in Southampton, further highlight Ugly Ozo’s dynamic versatility and growing appeal.
