Madness
English pop/ska band
Madness stand as one of the United Kingdom’s most influential pioneers of 2 tone and new wave, forging an unmistakable sound rooted in British ska since their formation in 1976. Renowned for their witty lyricism and infectious rhythms, the band continues to bridge generations with a catalogue that juxtaposes playful energy and social commentary. Their legacy is reinforced by celebrated albums such as “Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie,” released in November 2023, as well as enduring classics that have cemented their status in Britain’s pop and ska tapestry.
On the live circuit, Madness remain a fixture of the UK’s concert calendar. In December 2021, they headlined The Ladykillers Tour with a string of sold-out arena shows across major cities, including London’s O2 Arena and The SSE Arena, Wembley, with Squeeze as a special guest. More recently, they brought their signature spirit to Bradford’s Tapestry in July 2025, supporting The Specials at SKAFULL, further underlining their place among genre heavyweights. Looking ahead, Madness are set to headline Live at The Piece Hall in Halifax in June 2026 and will be among the celebrated support acts at Boomtown in August 2026 alongside Kneecap and Scissor Sisters.
As the anticipation grows for their “Hit Parade” compilation, scheduled for release in November 2025, fans old and new have much to look forward to. For the latest news, fresh tour dates, and details on upcoming gigs, be sure to follow Madness and keep a close eye on their vibrant live calendar.
