BOOMTOWN
Kneecap bring Irish gangsta rap and political hip hop to Boomtown’s 2026 line-up in Hampshire.
Irish hip-hop trio
KNEECAP are an Irish hip-hop trio carving their own rebellious path through the contemporary music scene. Since their formation in 2017, the group—comprising Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí—have become renowned for their sharply articulated lyricism and distinct approach to gangsta rap, setting them apart within the ever-evolving world of hip hop. Their work consistently intertwines raw social commentary with witty delivery, earning them a formidable reputation among critics and fans alike.
Their recent live music journey has seen KNEECAP headline esteemed venues such as the Killarney Gleneagle Arena in Ireland and O2 Academy Leeds in the UK, as well as deliver electrifying sets at events like Wide Awake Festival in London’s Brockwell Park. Notably, the trio have also performed as a support act for major artists and festivals, including joining the bill alongside Fontaines D.C. at FINSBURY PARK, and appearing at TRNSMT Festival supporting acts like 50 Cent and The Script. Their presence was also felt on the international stage in Barcelona at Primavera Sound in June 2026, supporting headliners such as Lola Young and Mac DeMarco.
KNEECAP’s forward momentum continues with headline slots at upcoming gigs in venues like Crystal Palace Park in London and The Marquee in Cork, as well as a highly anticipated performance at Boomtown in Hampshire in August 2026.
