On 19 February 2027, Saxon bring Gods of Thunder World Tour Part 1 to O2 Apollo Manchester for a full‑scale heavy metal show. The Barnsley band lean on their New Wave of British Heavy Metal origins, combining hard rock drive with melodic leads and choruses pulled from across their long‑running catalogue, including the era around "Carpe Diem". Armored Saint open the night with a firmly US power metal take on heavy metal, marked by tight rhythms and soaring vocals. The result is a coherent, guitar‑centred bill that threads NWOBHM and American power metal in one room.
