Unpeople open their We Are Unpeople UK 2027 run at Rebellion Manchester on 23 January, bringing a sound that cuts between alternative metal, alternative rock, straight-up metal and punk. The band’s catalogue, including tracks like “smother”, “waste” and material from their self-titled EP, gives plenty of scope for a set that swings from tightly-wound riffs to more expansive, melodic passages. As the first stop of a three-date January stretch, this Rebellion show sets the tone for the rest of the tour, framing Unpeople’s blend of heavy guitars, sharp hooks and energetic punk undercurrents in an intimate, loud room.
