Sounds Of The City 2026 closes on 12 July with a punk-centred bill at Castlefield Bowl led by Sex Pistols. The finale gathers several generations of guitar abrasion, with Frank Carter adding hardcore-informed punk immediacy. Stiff Little Fingers bring decades of punk and power pop, while The Undertones contribute their own take on new wave, pop punk, pop soul and power pop. Dr John Cooper Clarke appears on the line-up, tying in spoken-word roots linked to punk history. As the final stop of the run, this show pushes guitars, speed and attitude to the foreground to end the series.
