London Concertante bring their candlelit performance of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending” to Truro Cathedral on 19 December 2026. The ensemble use the cathedral’s resonant acoustic and atmospheric lighting to frame two of the most recognisable works in the classical repertoire, pairing baroque violin fireworks with English pastoral lyricism. With the group as the sole bill, the focus stays on detailed chamber playing and the contrast between Vivaldi’s vivid seasonal writing and the long, arching lines of “The Lark Ascending” in the cathedral setting in Cornwall.
