The Mary Wallopers
The Mary Wallopers, a formidable force in Irish folk and folk punk, have rapidly emerged from the heart of Ireland’s contemporary music scene since their inception in 2019. Fusing anarchic spirit with a rich tradition of storytelling, the group brings new energy to classic ballads and raucous live performances, crafting a reputation for authenticity and irrepressible stage presence.
Recent touring highlights affirm their place at the centre of the live music circuit. The Mary Wallopers have commanded headline slots at renowned UK venues such as O2 Academy Brixton and O2 Academy Leeds, as well as intimate in-store sets at prestigious record shops like Banquet Records and Rough Trade, reaching dedicated fans across the country. This approach underscores their commitment to bringing folk to the people, blending grassroots accessibility with the spectacle of major concert halls.
With their catalogue spanning vibrant singles such as “The Idler,” the acclaimed album “Irish Rock N Roll,” and the much-anticipated single “The Juice” set for release in July 2025, The Mary Wallopers show no sign of slowing down. Notably, December 2026 sees the band supporting The Coral on major stages including Glasgow’s Ovo Hydro and Dublin’s 3Arena, a testament to their growing influence. For those passionate about Irish folk, folk punk, and live music that celebrates both history and rebellion, follow The Mary Wallopers and stay informed about their latest tour dates and upcoming gigs.
