White Lies

White Lies stand as a vital force in the UK’s post-punk revival and indie rock scenes. Formed in 2008 and formerly known as Fear Of Flying, the London-based band has consistently brought a sophisticated blend of brooding melodies and atmospheric soundscapes to their listeners. Their discography, marked by acclaimed works such as Friends, Five, and the powerful As I Try Not to Fall Apart, continues to grow in ambition. The arrival of their album Night Light in November 2025 further cements their reputation for crafting immersive, emotionally resonant records that appeal to both discerning fans and newcomers alike.

The live music experience is central to White Lies’ momentum. Notably, they headlined their own shows, such as in January 2026 at Belfast's Limelight 1 and at the O2 Academy in Oxford for their Night Light album launch. The band has also been sought after as a support act for prominent artists; in July 2026, they supported The Maccabees at Alexandra Palace and The Sunshine Underground at Kirkstall Abbey, demonstrating their versatility and strong presence within the circuit of major UK concerts. These performances underpin their dynamic stagecraft and ability to captivate live audiences, whether topping the bill or sharing the stage with indie luminaries.

Looking ahead to summer 2027, White Lies are set to join Kaiser Chiefs as special guests at various high-profile venues including Lincoln Castle, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, and The Piece Hall in Halifax. Their involvement alongside headline acts at renowned locations showcases their ongoing relevance in the UK live music landscape.
