Wyvern Theatre hosts Jen Brister’s Reactive stand-up show in Swindon in October 2026.
The Wyvern Theatre, located in Swindon, opened on 7 September 1971 and was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Its name derives from the mythical wyvern, once the emblem of the kings of Wessex. In March 2019, Swindon Borough Council noted that the building was approaching the end of its functional life, and in November 2023, proposals were announced for a new theatre, with the current venue set to be repurposed for community arts groups.
