The Tyne Theatre & Opera House, located on Westgate Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, is a Grade I listed building and regarded among the top 4% of listed buildings by English Heritage. It was opened on 23 September 1867 and designed by architect William Parnell. The building is owned and preserved by the Tyne Theatre & Opera House Preservation Trust and operated by its subsidiary, Tyne Theatre and Opera House Ltd.
