The Warfield, located at 982 Market Street in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighbourhood, originally opened as a vaudeville and movie palace built by Marcus Loew. The venue was named after David Warfield, a native San Franciscan and prominent silent film actor. In 1979, it transitioned into a concert hall with a series of shows by Bob Dylan. The Warfield is currently operated by Goldenvoice.
