The Rose Theatre is located at 24-26 High Street, Kingston upon Thames, in Greater London. Officially opened on 16 January 2008 with a production of Anton Chekhov's 'Uncle Vanya' directed by Sir Peter Hall, the theatre's design is inspired by the original Elizabethan Rose Theatre on London's Bankside and features a wide, thrust stage. It is recognised as the largest producing theatre in South West London.
