About

The Rat & Pigeon is an independent pub and live music venue in Manchester's Northern Quarter, set over three floors in a renovated 19th-century gothic building. The ground floor operates as a traditional pub, the first floor hosts live gigs in the Red Room with a 90-capacity space for grassroots and touring artists, and the top floor serves as a hireable events area. The venue, which reopened in June 2024 on the site of the former Mother Mac's, welcomes all genres and focuses on free, community-oriented music programming.
