The Rainbow Ballroom of Romance, located in Glenfarne, County Leitrim, was built in 1934 by John McGivern after his return from the USA. Originally called McGivern’s Dance Hall, it became known locally as the 'Nissen Hut' due to its galvanised iron structure. During the showband era, it was a popular venue that hosted artists such as Philomena Begley and Big Tom & The Mainliners. Today, it continues to host concerts, variety shows, tea dances, and features a Showband Memorabilia Exhibition.
