The Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare was transformed from a market hall into a theatre in 1946. Following a fire in August 1964, the venue was rebuilt and reopened in 1969 with improved facilities. The Playhouse Theatre presents a diverse programme of events, including music, drama, comedy, dance, musicals, film, children's shows, and pantomime.
