The Fire Station is a modern performing-arts venue located on High Street West in Sunderland. Developed as part of the major redevelopment of the historic Edwardian fire station, the original building stood unused for 22 years after its closure in 1992 before its transformation into a cultural hub, aided by a £2.5 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant. The venue hosts a wide variety of cultural events, including live music, comedy, contemporary dance, theatre productions, and community arts activities.
