Founded in 1970 by actor Robert Urquhart, The Ceilidh Place in Ullapool began as a small café in a boatshed and expanded to include accommodation and a bookshop, now operating year-round. The venue has a longstanding focus on live music, hosting a wide range of performers, and was recognised as Music Venue of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards.
