The Castle Hotel in Manchester, established in 1776, is recognised as one of the city's oldest pubs. In 2010, it introduced an 80-capacity music hall, strengthening its presence within Manchester's live music scene. The venue has hosted artists including Bill Ryder-Jones, James Bay, and Soak.
