The Abbey, formerly known as The Old Abbey Taphouse, is a Victorian pub situated on Guildhall Close in Manchester. Dating back to 1890, the building holds historical significance, noted for an incident in 1953 involving boxer and activist Len Johnson. Recently restored, The Abbey now offers a dedicated live music space at the back and is managed by Now Wave, the team also responsible for YES and known for independent gig programming in Manchester.
