St John the Evangelist Church, located on Grove Lane in Kingston upon Thames, was founded in 1871 and consecrated in November 1872. The church was designed by architect A. J. Phelps and received Grade II listed status in March 1975. In 1974, its pews were removed to allow for use as an examination hall by Kingston Polytechnic.
