St George’s Church in Ramsgate, Kent, is a Grade I listed building known for its distinctive octagonal stone lantern tower, which historically served as a navigational aid for sailors in the English Channel. Completed in 1827, the church was built to accommodate Ramsgate’s growing population, with particular attention to providing space for poorer residents. Today, it hosts a range of community activities, including regular services, concerts, and the Community Soup sessions every Wednesday and Saturday.
