About

Buxton Opera House is a historic venue, opened in 1903 and designed by renowned theatre architect Frank Matcham, featuring an ornate Edwardian interior and seating for over 900. It has hosted notable performances, including a 1925 appearance by Anna Pavlova attended by Hollywood stars, and was restored and reopened in 1979 following a local campaign.
