O2 Ritz Manchester, located on Whitworth Street West, is a Grade II listed building that was originally built in 1928 as a dance hall with a sprung dance floor and revolving stage. The venue has hosted performances by notable artists such as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, The Smiths, and Happy Mondays. In 2015, the venue was acquired by Live Nation Entertainment and rebranded as part of the O2 Academy Group.
