The O2 Academy Glasgow, located at 121 Eglinton Street, occupies the former New Bedford Cinema, which was rebuilt after a fire in 1932 and later reopened as a music venue in 2003. The venue preserves its original Art Deco features, such as ceiling designs, balcony boxes, and the proscenium arch. Since reopening, it has hosted a diverse range of events, including performances by Deacon Blue, Bryan Ferry, and the Sugababes during its launch week.
