New Century Hall is a large venue with a sprung dancefloor, wood-panelled walls, a distinctive disco ceiling, and modern sound and lighting. Known for its rich musical heritage, it has hosted legendary acts such as Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Hollies, The Kinks, and Procol Harum, as well as notable acid house events during the MADchester era featuring artists like 808 State and A Guy Called Gerald. Built in 1962 and designed by G. S. Hay and Gordon Tait, the hall continues to be a significant part of Manchester's live music scene.
