IMMA, Ireland’s National Cultural Institution for Modern and Contemporary Art, is located in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin 8. IMMA houses the National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art, which comprises over 3,500 artworks. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham, where IMMA is based, is the oldest classical building in Ireland and was originally established as a home for retired soldiers.
