The Holywell Music Room, located on Holywell Street in Oxford, is the oldest purpose-built music room in Europe, having opened in 1748. The building was designed by Thomas Camplin and was likely conceived by William Hayes, who was then Professor of Music at the University of Oxford. Owned by Wadham College, the venue is available for hire throughout the year.
