Halifax Minster, located on Causeway in Halifax, is dedicated to St John the Baptist and is notable for its approximately 900-year history. The current building dates from the 15th century, with construction of the tower starting in 1449. It was granted minster status in 2009, highlighting its significant role in the civic life of Halifax and the wider Calderdale area.
