The O2 Academy Glasgow is a music venue located on Eglinton Street in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, Scotland. Originally opened in December 1932 as the New Bedford Cinema, the building was later transformed into the O2 Academy following a major refurbishment in the early 2000s. Previously known as the Carling Academy Glasgow, it was rebranded as the O2 Academy in November 2008. The venue has a capacity of 2,500 people.
