The Glasshouse, previously known as Sage Gateshead, is an international centre for musical education and concerts housed in a striking curved glass and stainless steel building designed by Foster and Partners on the Gateshead bank of the River Tyne. It features three performance spaces, including the large Sage One auditorium, and is home to the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Britain's only full-time chamber orchestra.
