The Gaiety Theatre in Ayr is a category B listed performing arts venue, renowned for its interior rococo features, atmosphere, and acoustics. Originally built in 1902, the theatre has been rebuilt and remodelled following fires in 1904 and 1955, with a 1935 façade and a modern annex added in 1995. Historically celebrated as a variety theatre, it once hosted the long-running Gaiety Whirl summer shows. The venue re-opened in 2012 after a period of closure.
