First Avenue is a large historic music venue in downtown Minneapolis, housed in a distinctive curved black building that originally served as a bus depot before becoming a club in 1970. It features two performance spaces—the Mainroom and the smaller 7th St Entry—and is known for its rich musical heritage, having hosted numerous renowned artists including Prince, who filmed parts of 'Purple Rain' there.
