Engine Rooms, located on West Quay Road in Southampton, underwent major refurbishment and rebranding in 2014, establishing itself as the city's largest independent grassroots music and entertainment venue. It hosts a diverse range of events, including live music, club nights, comedy shows, exhibitions, cinema, theatre, and bespoke festivals. The venue has welcomed a variety of artists, such as Scouting For Girls, Lorna Shore, Neck Deep, Hedex, Hybrid Minds, and Sammy Virji. Engine Rooms features a world-class d&b audiotechnik sound system, a large main floor, and a raised viewing balcony.
