Cathedral of Christ the King presents a mid-run The Place That Has Never Been Wounded show with Niall Breslin and The Polaris Quartet.
The Cathedral of Christ the King in Mullingar was the first cathedral in the world to be dedicated to Christ the King, following a request by Pope Pius XI. Designed by William Byrne & Sons of Dublin in the Renaissance Revival style and constructed between 1933 and 1936, it features mosaics by Russian artist Boris Anrep, including one depicting St. Anne with the face of poet Anna Akhmatova.
