Consecrated in 1092, it has served as a place of worship for over 950 years. Once the tallest building in the world with its central spire, the cathedral is noted for its intricate stone carvings, impressive vaulted ceilings, and striking rose windows. It is also associated with one of the four remaining original copies of Magna Carta, now displayed in Lincoln Castle.
