Map

The Blakehay Theatre in Weston-super-Mare was originally constructed in 1850 as Wadham Street Baptist Church, notable for being the town's first Baptist church and public building. The building was enlarged by architect Hans Price in 1862. Damaged by incendiary bombs during World War II, it was rebuilt within its original Victorian exterior. No longer a place of worship after 1985, the building was converted into a theatre in 1986. In 2004, it was purchased by Weston-super-Mare Town Council. Today, it hosts local and regional theatre, music, and dance performances.
