Audley End House is a largely early 17th-century country house situated near Saffron Walden, Essex, England. Originally constructed as a prodigy house, it is recognised as one of the finest Jacobean houses in the country. The residence was at one time purchased and held by King Charles II. Today, Audley End House is managed by English Heritage. The surrounding Capability Brown-designed parkland features numerous neo-classical monuments and is bisected by the River Granta.
