The Amphitheatre in Church House Gardens is an open-air venue constructed during the Great Depression as part of a local works scheme, later replacing a thatched roofed bandstand lost in the early 1960s. It has a capacity of around 600 and is occasionally used for performances and events, often in collaboration with the nearby Churchill Theatre.
