Admiralspalast, located on Friedrichstraße in the Mitte district of Berlin, opened in 1911 as a 'metropolitan' entertainment centre offering an ice rink, luxury baths, bowling alleys, and a cinema. In the 1920s, it became known for its extravagant revue shows, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Following World War II, the venue hosted the founding event of East Germany's Socialist Unity Party (SED) in 1946. After an extensive restoration, Admiralspalast reopened in 2006, blending its historic architecture with modern entertainment.
