The Undertones bring their 50-year legacy of new wave, pop punk, pop soul and power pop to O2 Academy Glasgow on 2 October 2026, headlining a tightly focused punk bill. Formed in Northern Ireland in 1975, they draw on material spanning early singles through to compilation-era cuts like “(Just Like) Romeo and Juliet” and “Beautiful Friend.” Joining them are Scottish punk and new wave outfit Skids, whose catalogue includes albums such as “Burning Cities” and “Destination Düsseldorf.” Together they load the Glasgow stage with guitar-driven punk rock energy, sharp melodies and hooks that bridge classic late-70s sounds with their later studio work.
