The Long Ryders bring their alternative country and Paisley Underground sound to The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne on 7 October 2026. Emerging from Los Angeles in 1981, the band fuse roots-rock, country and psychedelic influences, a blend heard across albums like “September November” and “Psychedelic Country Soul”. Recent material such as “Four Winters Away” shows they are still expanding that palette. This Cluny show offers a chance to hear songs from across their catalogue, from early Americana landmarks to newer work, in an intimate room well suited to their guitar-driven, harmony-rich approach.
