The 19 February instalment of Borderline Festival Ver. 4. 2027 at The Workman’s Club, Project Arts Centre, The New Theatre shifts the emphasis, with Big Wett’s electropop slot and Bathing Suits’ industrial dance pulling the line-up towards electronic territory. August returns alongside Cowboy Hunters’ grunge and punk rock, while Gans, Hotwax and Picture Parlour keep the rock backbone intact. Meltt again balance alternative and psychedelic rock with folk inflections, Maquina. reinforce the psychedelic strand, and Piss ensure the noise rock and punk core stays abrasive. Victor Jones threads jazz colours through this middle-night programme.
