Meshuggah bring The Forty Year Anomaly to 3Arena in Ireland on 27 October 2027, leading a heavyweight modern metal bill. The Swedish pioneers anchor the night with a mix of death metal weight, groove metal pulse and the tightly wound polyrhythms that helped define djent. Periphery add their blend of progressive metal and metalcore, threading intricate guitar work through sharper, alternative metal hooks. Opening the show, Vildhjarta lean into djent and thall, pushing dense, atmospheric progressive metal. Together, the three bands map out the more technical, rhythm-obsessed edges of contemporary metal in a single arena performance.
