The South bring their blend of alternative rock, britpop, indie pop and indie rock to hmv Empire Coventry on 23 October 2026, topping a bill that leans firmly into hook-heavy guitar music. Formed as a cover band in 2009, they draw on material like the single "Christmas Tills Are Ringing" and the album "Sweet Refrains", alongside tracks such as "Boxing for Courbet", "Moment of Madness" and "Stop Talking and Pay Attention". Charlie Ward opens the show, setting the tone before The South take over for a set shaped by the sounds of the britpop era and beyond.
