THE FERRET 20TH BIRTHDAY WEEKENDER and October & November Listings

Saturday, October 24, 2026 - The Ferret, Preston

• The Fargo Railroad Co.

On 24 October 2026, The Ferret pivots towards Americana and roots rock with Sheffield’s The Fargo Railroad Co. Their set draws on Southern-influenced Americana, blues rock, country and country rock, channelling the groove-heavy feel they have taken to venues like Backstage in Kinross and London’s Half Moon Putney. Fronted by Jody Davies, the band’s call-and-response moments and melodic rock’n’roll spirit find a natural home in the Preston venue’s close quarters. As part of a wider October headline run, this date threads American roots traditions into The Ferret’s otherwise UK-centric birthday programme.
